dueling OSV groups?

ok, been reading the threads about the OSV group buy through bodykits.com and also powerlifter and silent's kit. my questions...

are either of the groups near completion? i see new pics posted for the bodykits one, but it doesn't look finished.

silentalero, why are you doing the group buy if you're making a similar kit with powerlifter?

why does everyone like the OSV so much?

Simple answer, because I told powerlifter from day 1 that I want the osv kit regardless of how it's made.

Because the OSV was never produced, so to have an OSV kit on your car would look awesome.

Kinda like the Darth Vader Cutlass GM made one of and was NEVER produced. One guy made one just like it. Seen it a few times, talk about sexy

people arent getting it for attention. Its in no way meant to be extreme. This kit is not to win shows. In fact, I wouldn't really call it a kit. This is the styling of the OSV concept. The way the Alero should be. Every other kit out their loox ricey as eff IMO. The Alero stock loox like your regular econo car. The OSV with the central exhaust almost loox European.

I agree. I'm not a big fan of it. Looks stock with more plastic stuck on the bottom. And it certainly does not make the Alero look like anything other than an Alero with a body kit. The rear bumper looks alright, but that's the best part of it.

I agree. While some may be looking for the design of the OSV kit, I'm all for the "tuner style" AAS kit. More my taste personally. OSV doesn't do enough for me for the price....

that comment just made me laugh.

so if you want your alero to look like something else besides an alero then why by an alero in the first place.

wow I never thought I would hear any negativity about the OSV. I have a bodykit right now and still I feel the OSV kit looks 100 times better. I prefer a close to stock look yet with a sporty appeal. I just didnt like the stock bumpers thus why I got a bodykit. I plan to sell it soon and get a hold of the OSV kit.

Only downside as mentioned before is the limited space for a big intercooler in the front bumper.

i think the osv kit gonna give a alero a distinct flare to it the same as in any other body kit but a lil different direction...kinda like like a m or amg product a nice sporty profesional distinguished look thats not over done....my opinion tho

i really like the look, but not as much as the AAS. (due to weather, i wouldn't get a kit anyway) but i like the OSV primarily for the idea. GM crushed them... we brought them back. (besides the one in a holding cell... but who cares)

Aleromod.com banded together and did something unique... for once. instead of just bickering about things.
