Auto Trans filter replacement fluid swap

I just dropped the pan and changed out the filter and replaced the missing fluid.

The helpful guy at Murrays said it shows 6.5 quarts will be needed when doing this deal. SO I bought 6 figuring I had some still at home (didnt).

I ended up pulling about 2 gallons total (8 Qts) out of it.

I simply replaced what came out. I didnt do the weep hole thing as I have no way of doing it...

SO far so good. It shifts better, I can get to almost 6K rpm now when really on it.

About 1 1/2 hours or so. Didnt really keep track.

It takes a bit when your trying to be careful, theres not drain on these. So I let it dribble out the one side.

Its not hard at all. Loosen all the bolts a tad, loosen the rear ones more starting on pass corner until it leaks out. Keep going until drained. Drop cover off. Pull filter out- mine was pretty loose. Take a screwdriver and hammer about 2 whacks and the seal will pop off easy then... lol. Replace. Refill. Done.

Theres some weep hole on the passenger side. Basically you have to have the engine running and warm, you pull this plug/bolt out. Pour more trans fluid in until it seeps, then its full.
