DeeJayy - Short answer, if it hasn't been changed in a while, be sure you can afford to get the tranny rebuilt/replaced even if you DON'T replace it.
Medium answer - Don't get it flushed, have them do a pan drop / refill.
Long answer - Google it, I don't feel like typing in the expanded version of "War and Peace" tonight
