Tires
I need 2 new tires for my car but dont want to pay too much. I was wondering about tirerack.com ... are they any good and how does that work with having your tires shipped to a shop and stuff? i was looking at some on there and could get 4 for the price town fair tire told me for 2. Also i want tires that are good for all season. the guy at town fair today showed me a tire and said it was all season then when i got home and looked it up found out its a summer tire. any suggestions on a good and not too expensive tire and where to get it?

They are not bad. and if you spend a little more you can prolly go to a better site and get the tires and a rim set up with all mounting stuff for about the same price.. as long as your not like wanting the best rims out there.. but just want a nice black set or machine finish. I think they ship to your house and you take to the shop and pay them the labor. When i had my alero ( gone now :'( ) i almsot went through wheelsnext.com or something like that for a set of four tires and rims all going for about 650 or so and shipped to your house. So look around.. most are pretty good

You will not find a better place to buy tires then tirerack. And don't have them shipped to a store, have them shipped to your house, then arrange for installation.

what about the road hazard they offer? what happens when something happens to one of your tires? do you have to wait for them to ship you a new one?

Road Hazzard isn't worth it IMO.
If you get a nail in it, you take it to the shop and they fix it, cost $25 at the shop I go to now, but they fix it from the inside

Right. Buying tire insurance is just an extra so that they can make more money off you. Its easy to plug tires yourself, and blowouts / shredding is a rare occurence that might already be covered under your tire warranty.

BJs Tire Center for the WIN.... You can find nice prices online, but it ends up being almost the same price while you install it and the shipping(you do save the taxes online). Town fair tires sux in my opinion(countless amount of pplz that complaint about them). You pay $25 for repair??? 9.50 at my job. And road harzard worth it (not over the internet tho).

I had those Sumos too. They were great for the first 10,000 miles, good in the snow too, after that, loud, shook like crazy, just over all suck and they are rated to 40K miles
Never heard anything good about Generals, but that was years ago.
Michileen, BFG's and Pirelli's are the best ones to buy, usually. Good Year's on that list too, but I never had good luck with them.

I have these Continentals and they're the best all-season I've ever had.

I'm not aware of them charging any different for that. They determine your shipping cost by your zip code.
