CD player and Wiring harness

alright so im getting a sound system soon and the guy at the audio store said that a Wiring Harness for the alero is going to cost about $100 more than most other cars because the door chime and other electric things run through the stock cd player...? is this true or is he just ripping money from my ass?

I got one and the mounting kit and amp kit for about $75

I was told it is all hooked up with the radio from 2001 and up, mine is a 2000, so i didn't have any problems.

i never did get the faceplate adapter back... but i *should* have the antenna adapters and stuff... it's all at my parents place right now

order from crutchfield and get the harness for a discounted price

you can do it with the $20 harness if you dont care about chimes, thats all you'll lose, if they tell you different theyre full of shit.

I think you can use the tracker harness(you WILL however have to run your own ACC power to it this way)

u will have 2 run an extra acc which is easy u dont need the chimes
