Is there any kind of subs that can be hidden so that no trunk space is compromised??

I hope you guys/gals know what I'm saying. And yes I do have the Monsoon system because I saw the amp in the trunk .

Well, there was a subwoofer system designed by Pioneer, that went into the spare tire well. Of course, u compromise for that...

Other than that, you can probably go with a bass tube and have it strapped out of the way.

The wheel well area is the only place you won't miss the room, and fitting it in there, well the sub is going to have to be small. You are going to have a hell of a time building such an oddly shapped box to spec.

I've got a 10" in a .75 cu ft box and it doesn't take up much room at all. You could also get an 8" that would need less space.

Another option (although I don't know if it will fit under the seat) is the Kenwood WooX. Search for it on crutchfield or cardomain. I haven''t heard too much about it but the little that I did, people seemed happy. Just don't expect too much out of it.

Thanks, reading up on the Infinity Basslink and the Kenwood Woox right now.

Second question, there's no way the stock Monsoon amp can power a smaller sub, is there??

If you go to a place that does this stuff like a audio shop then I guarantee they will have MANY ideas on how to this....they cost a butt load of money but theres ways....One is that they actually mount the subs like 1/4" under the trunk floor(not in the spare tire well) and put plexi over it and run tubes down through the floor. Its a sweet look and it sounds good too. Besides that you could always put them in a custom fiberglass housing near the wheel well which would not only give it a sleeker look but itd also give good sound quality, I believe there is a topic about those type of housing in the forums somewhere already

So basically screw the stock amp...

UnoWHO...sounds like a good idea. I'll talk to an audio shop and see what they can offer then as well.

X2 on the shop. That is what they are paid to do. And don't be afraid to talk to more than one. Besides coparing prices one may speacialize in a certain field that another doesn't.
