If I start my car in a dark area where the headlights automatically turn on, the right headlight turns on fine, however the left doesn't. Instead, the high beam comes on VERY dim, and the low beam stays off completely. The SVS light comes on also. The high beam isn't as bright as the DRL brightness. If I flick the high beams a bunch of times the left low beam will eventually come on usually, however not all the time. If I get both low beams working correctly, the high beams also work correctly.

This problem doesn't occur if the car is started in an light area where the lights don't turn on automatically.

Any ideas of what the problem may be? Maybe a bad ground or relay? Any advice appreciated.

I don't think its a relay, because its just like an on/off switch it couldn't affect your lights in a specific way like that. Take it to an automotive electrical place and they might help you out. BTW are you using ordinary bulbs? If you are using brighter bulbs maybe something got melted. Maybe just pull the headlight out a bit and check the wires connected to the back.

sounds like a bad harness, i'm thinking your using too high of wattage bulbs and burnt them up, too

I use Silverstars high and low beam. I checked the harness before posting this, and it seems fine.

I'd vote for a relay as well

Just FYI, needed a new relay. Turned out the harness and fuse were fine.
