Carshow prep.. :)

So, Friday I got my highschool's car show. It was a nice day today so I decided to start cleaning the engine bay and carpet clean the interior. Half way through the cleaning I decided to change up my intake. I know I got made fun of a bit for carnival colors (blue/red) so I got all red and a new k&N filter. I think it turned out pretty good.. wondering what you all thought. Anyways so anything I may want/forget/need to have for the day of the show ? I got armor all interior wipes for dash n center console, some mothers finishing spray shine, and Black magic tire shine. ohh and the fuzzy dice. Lastly, for you bass heads any song to suggest ? appropriate and has alot of bass ? I've never shown my car before, so besides making her look as clean as possible any tips or advice ?

Thanks,

Ill have pictures up Friday night. here are just some from cleaning up a bit today

Well it's too late to order some zaino polishes but as for the subs play intergalactic with the seats down with the sub aimed at the back so u get some reverberation. If you open the trunk, you lose all bass.

wow, fuzzy dice...............first place right there............lol

Dood if your trunk looks crappy at all i would recommend not opening it and have the sub face forward.

Also i can still see dirt in the engine bay. so maybe getting some engine gunk and go to the car wash and washing it again. I recommend using only no spot rinse.....less pressure.

Also make sure wheel wells are clean. Make sure you pay very close attention to detail to every noock and cranny. Like making sure no wax on any of the weatherstrip. no wax lines. Also if the paint is all waxed and shining and the weatherstrip looks dull and crappy then use some tire shine on a rag and wipe the weatherstripping. make sure to go slow and accurate so you don't get any on the paint.

Those are just some examples. Now I am more hardcore than a lot on here. I was raised with having to clean a ISCA winning show car and had to clean underneath to top of the car with my dad. So I know what it takes to show a car and win. Plus my alero is a national winner getting a high of 994 out of 1000 points.

Also hit up bdyman or oldsnut, they are about the only other ones that knows how to show a car.

I would suggest turning those SPECTRA couplers so the SPECTRA is facing down. Since it's a high school you might be OK, but in a lot of other shows, your car would get less attention for that. I only see the valve cover being a little dirty, but nothing too bad IMHO.

I like the fuzzy dice, but an Alero can't pull them off like a 50's to 70's car can. However since this is a high school show, and you are most likey one of the few American cars in it, I'd say leave them in
