Hey whats up I just put my Alero away for the winter beacuse i was having trouble with my winter beater, a 94 chevy berretta. Well anyways I know for a fact that my front driver side wheel berring is shot beacuse its making alot of noise and is starting to vibrate the car. My car has only 81k on it! Is this normal?? Idk if its a common problem on these cars or not. But im planning on doin the job myself and replacing both front hubs. I was just wonderin if anyone else has run into this problem and if it was a simple job to replace.

falloutboy is on a distinguished road
Have the same prob.
Both Bearings.
Seems to be an easy job. Haven't done it yet, cause its difficult to get the Wheel Bearings here in Germany. And its quite expensive 220€ each (270$)
just the hubs, no transport cost included.

Hope to do the job this WE. Tell u more after this.

Greets
Julian

I replaced my passenger side front one in jan 2004 and my drivers side front one today. It is not uncommon for it to happen they seem to be somewhat of a common problem

i'm in ottawa, I paid 240 installed at my local mechanic I don't really have the time or know how to do it myself. The part was 190 taxes in so I only paid 50 for labor. At partsource they have two that you can get one was 195+tax and the other was 132+tax apparently the cheaper one doesn't last as long.

i've replaced both my front hubs. its a common problem with these cars. i did both myself and its really not that hard....just time consuming, and thats if you know what your doing. get an aftermarket hub at an auto parts store, not a GM replacement....those are the ones in there to start off with, and they're junk.

Well I went to a few auto parts places around, like Auto Zone Advance Auto parts and Parts +. Each of the places carry two berrings one cheaper than the other. They range in price from $109-139. Im still not sure if im gonna do it myself or not though its most likely.

I gotta replace the wheelberring on my beater 94 berretta and im gonna see how that goes.

Yeah, thats the whole reason I joined this forum today. My front end was giving me problems, the driver side wheels seem a little flimsy when driving, and its making plenty of noise. Went to go take a look at it today, and my mechanic friend concluded what I expected it to be... My struts are shot, and it has affected the hub bearings. Im willing to do the work, would just like some guidance if any.
