Do these struts all ride smooth? I just bought intrax lowering springs so I want struts that will give me the smoothest ride humanly possible or close to it

I have the KYB GR-2s and I really like them... however, I like a stiff ride, and paired with my Eibachs, it is pretty stiff. The KYBs are stiffer than stock. I don't know anything about the other brands, though. The fronts were like $70 each and the rears were around $60. I got them from Andy's.

if you want a smooth ride dont put the intrax on, when you drop you get a rougher ride no matter what struts you put on.

I paired up KYB GR-2's with Eibachs. The ride is definitely firmer than stock, but you don't need to wear a kidney belt, either. You will still get some body roll, but only if you push it. This combo gives you a good balance between performance and daily drivability. I would add STB's front and rear. I did this as well and it made a big difference in reducing body flex and helped improve cornering turn in. Hope this helps.

That's a good question...
I have used Bilstein in the past, and loved they way that they ride. They are about 60 bucks each though.
You might get away with your stock struts for awhile longer. Those springs are pretty stiff, so will probably wear those stock stuts out faster.

I paid $227 for all four of my Monre Reflex struts (and an oil change). They feel great to me. You'll have a hard time finding that price unless you can get them wholesale like I did though.

i wouldnt replace em with only 44,000. ive ran struts with lowering springs on stock struts with 100k+ on em. but if you are going to get new struts and want a smooth ride with intrax, do NOT get kyb's. just get a stock replacement.

my opinion is, spend the money on new struts, because if you don't you'll have to pay to get your car aligned twice. once for the stock struts with drop springs, and once in 6 months with the ones you are going to need to replace them with. save yourself the time, money, and headache. get new struts. i have a set of monroe sensatracs with 10,000 miles on them if you want them for really cheap. let me know.

kybs here, they are kinda stiff with intrax but why are you lowering if you dont want stiff? i love mine and wouldnt get rid of them, great ride, great handling, and if you check out tire rack kybs are like $50 a piece over there. im pretty sure thats what they were when i bought mine. its a good deal for a nice part.
