NoSweat83 is an unknown quantity at this point
I would assume you want to do this to make more power. But think about how shakey the quad motor is and then think of it after you remove the balance shafts. I would only recomend this for a race app. But, that is my view. How many more horses does this give you again?

in order to remove the shafts you would have to do the 2.3 oil pump which requires maching to the block and etc.

you can't just remove them do to the oil works with them.

well ive heard it frees up weight thus less rotation weight for the crank with a estimated gain if I remember corretly 15 horses thankz oldsnut for a usefull post rather than negative statement. And NOS yeah I know about the Quad 4's reputation for its ruff idle thus the reason why GM added the shafts. but would the car stall and turn off @ a light? Hey oldsnut I do plan to do the 2.3 oil pump swap aswell, happen to know a link or good instructions to modify such a performance project. thankz
