Not bad, i don't like the speakers by the feet there though, it looks tacky. How much power you putting out. I have all alpine type S all around, 2 12's in the trunk, all at a 1000 watts, its loud, yours looks like it can do some damage to. how much decibals is it pushing?

^^its not tacky, just practical instead of doing custom fiberglass panels for the doors, tacky would be boxes without covers on the boxes

Kick pods are the only way to go if you want true sound imaging in your vehicle. That and custom door pods. Door pods are alittle more high risk though cause your goin to have to cut your factory panels.

That box is Absolutaly TINY! Im not sure what the recommended secs for the Diamond audio subs are but my 10's are each in 1 cube and they pound. But then again thats what my subs are recommended to go in with 400 watts a piece.

Diamond is good stuff. Port that box and you'll notice almost a complete change in how loud it is. But I wouldnt expect a ton outa a single 10.

thanks for all the comments. kick pods-love em or hate em, they sound amazing, and contrary to what you might think, i havent kicked them once. i drive with my left knee up all the time for some reason, though. they are attached to the factory kick panel via silicone, since itll hold untill i want it out.

the diamond is recomended in a .6 enclosure and it aint that loud off of 400 watts to tell u the truth. with that small of a sealed box however, they require twice the power (800). i know the huge difference ill notice just in building a properly tuned box, so ive been thinkin of a bunch of ideas. 400 RMS (underrated) should wang pretty good with that sub, but i aint expectin too much, nor do i care too much, cuz it is a budget SQ install.

elite- i like the sub, feels like its built like a tank. weighs in at 23 lbs looks great and im not gonna comment on how it sounds untill i make a permanent box for it. its hindering wayy too much performance, and since its facing forward, its causing alot of cancellation with the seats up. with the seats down though, it runs like a champ. one complaint i have with it though is its too power hungry, not very sensitive. Another complaint is how picky it is with enclosures. i was tryin to tune up a box, and it almost always had a peak at the lower end. when you port this sub, the port has to be HUGE. Diamonds recomendation is like 65 inches long with a box 1.25 cu ft. im not a huge bass guy, i listen to alot of alternative, trance, some oldies, and a big tool fan as well. so i need somethin with a real nice extension.

/rant
ill keep the ideas flowin for a new box though

RE has some sick high excursion subs, also check out Edesignaudio.com

Nice install by the way.
what gauge power are u running from the battery?

If you want SQ and dont want to build kicks or modify your doors you should look into Hertz Space 6 series. They fit perfectly in the door and provide amazing SQ. I love mine.

I run eD "edesignaudio.com" Elemental Designs. And have for a couple years!

My setup is also sound quality based. Im finally goin to be running all my stuff at once for the first time ever in the Alero.

eDi 6.5 component set -440 watt front sound stage
2 10" Elemental Designs O series. Old school design with the flat nomex cones
1 Avionixx 800.2
1 Avionixx 440.4
Eclipse 8503 compition deck - Yet to buy... my old Pioneer 8400 died

Sound Quality is the way to go... screw SPL its useless us SQ guys gotta stick together. Cause atleast we will be able to hear our conversations to eachother when we are 50

thanks, im runnin 4 gauge from the batt split to a fused distro (8ga to each amp) the 8 ga, you can probably tell is only a couple feet, and im safe for another 150 rms on each of the 8ga before it starts to over heat.

eDs got some pretty nice products, i was lookin to buy some of there deadener a while back. may still consider it if i ever get the damn time.

anyone else got any pix of there setups?
alerwoah, i wanna see yours

all a 4x6 is, is an oversized 4" round speaker. try to find a decent 4" mid that you can run along with ur CDT tweets. just a mid, not a coaxial. all you need to do is make a bracket 4x6, screw it down and then cut a hole in the center to house the mid. make sure the fronts sealed from the back wave though. i think you may be more satisfied with a good set of 4 inchers
