Silverstar Ultras....any good?

Has anyone tried the new Silverstar Ultra bulbs. I have the reg Silverstars, and I'm wondering how much better they are? I heard they are a little brighter, and last longer! They are 50+ bucks around here

Eventually, I want to get H.I.D...probablly 6000K, 8000k too blueish in color and I might get pullled over!

Just wanted your guys opinion....later!

I've had good luck (and my mom likes 'em) on her Denali. Quite a bit better than the original bulbs that were in it.

Just wait about a year or so, mine crapped out a lil less than a year cuz one light would work and the other wouldnt intil i hit it and it turned on, so I checked out my connectors and they were melted to hell, the sylvanias run a higher voltage then the stockers and over time it eats away at the stock connectors.

hmm that sucks.. lol Maybe it depends on the car too... I mean our cars are pretty cheap anyways... It's one of the few cars I've seen that has soooo many gaps in the front bumper to let water in the engine area... I drowned my engine once in the car wash. haha But my 1992 corolla didn't have any problems with the sylvania bulbs... ended up putting two sets in it while I had the car... never had a problem with them..

hmmm, who knows dude, Id just replace the connectors anyways, there like 3 bucks for a pack of two at autozone. One thing to invest in is an HID kit, I love mine and definitely worth the money

Your stock connectors will be fine with silverstars. Or at least they should be. Your report is the first I've heard of silverstars melting harnesses. Are you sure they were legit silverstars, not some on ebay who repackaged them with cheap bulbs?

I have fried my harnesses like 3 or 4 times by using cheap eurolite bulbs. I had HID's for a while too, but I sold them a while ago and now I have been using silverstars for 3 years with no problems at all.

I had silverstars in my Ho for over 2 yrs and not one problem. Maybe I was draining the extra juice with the stereo

I bought Silverstar Ultras 3 months ago for $35 on sale. You really can't do better for the price.

The color of light is very unique - significantly different than both halogen & HIDs. They're very white with a hint of greenish blue.

Yeah, Ive been using Silver Stars for 3+ years and no problem with the harness.

When it comes time to replace them I will get the ultras if they are still around.

Hey, I was going to get me a pair of ultras tomorrow and I was wondering how much k's are the ultras? I have 7000k's in my car and they were ebay crap and they suck. The only thing I like is that a real small tint of blue in them. I was wondering if the Ultras have a little blue in them? I see they are painted a real light blue....
