Change Transmissionfluid and filter

i have a 2001 2.4L automatic with 15.000 miles (the previous owner (old men) had not been driven te car for 3 years, stood in the garage).

My question is, when must i change the transmission fluid and filter ?

But with it sitting for 3 years. I'd probably flush and change everything.

I wouldn't worry about the transmission fluid so much. I'd flush out the brake fluid at my nearest convenience.

I thought I was doing good by finding a 1999 with 19,000 miles on it...

tranny fluid/filter should be fine. don't worry about changing those. brake fluid might even be ok. oil definitely. (don't know how long its been sitting)
