^^ Boston Acoustics is the junk. i may get home audio by them??
soundstream is nice from what i have heard from a lot of people.
but my fave is my ALPINE!! type R's in the back
on my car. look on ebay, you can get them for around a hundred bucks i think. great stuff it is.

i run Boston FX93 currently. i HAD a set of Boston NX97s and they fit into the factory seat better however a sad thing occurred when one day after i installed em and was running them off of the stock amp and HU i was in a poopass mood and turned up ICP SUPERLOUD and BLEW the BEJEEZUZ outta 1. needless to say i heard POP CLICK AND HISS as much as i heard music so i tore em out and threw away the bad one. i guess i shoulda tossed em both as ive decided to take my car to the Alpine Extreme!

How can you knock Boston, but then recommend alpine R's??? talk about some crappy speakers
If you have a GLS with the monsoon, you want the Soundstream Tarantula 6x9's. they are biampable, the woofer is 3 ohms, 4 ohm tweeter. they sound great, and are one of few speakers that connect to the monsoon speaker system while still using the amp.

not to mention soundstreams can usually take an ass load more power then other speakers.
i had pioneers in my last car, and i ended up blowing them (speaker noob at the time.) but they were 75W RMS.
My current soundstream XTS 6.9's are 200RMS.

I was on crutchfields site and filled out the "what fits my car" thing. For 6 X 9 speakers, only 2 showed up out of all of them. Is this true or can I put any 6 X 9's I want in.

you can put any in you want... but if the magnet is HUGE on some, you might have to cut the hole a little bigger.
i have soundstream xts's in mine, and the mag is pretty large. they still fit just fine.

i bought Volfenhag 4way 6x9's. great brand. another perk---these baby's are 800 watts appeice so that will put some punch in your car. i also put their 4x6's in the front which were 350watts. i'm puttin my 15inch subs in the back this coming week. i've also got a 1000watt amp and going to buy a 1.5 capacitor from them. they aren't as well known, but they compete right with audiobahn and others. german concept = german quality
