HID in non-projector housing

I am thinking about getting an HID kit for my ho, and i wanted to know what you guys thought about HIDs in non-projector housing? yay or nay?

well a bunch of people have hids on here with non projector headlights. You just have to aim the headlights so you do not blind anybody. I have HIDs 6000k highs,8000k, lows and soon 3000k fogs but i have aftermarket projector fogs i made to fit my car. one if get the wiring harness. it is a good idea to get the harness if you are running more than 1 hid kits,

On mine I had the 55w 6000k slim set and just had to aim them a little lower and it was fine. I have now transferred them to my Rover 414 with no issues. They are from DDM and if memory serves me correctly both the ballast AND the bulb are under the lifetime warranty.

JLw7123 - What projectors did you find worked the best, I am looking to retrofit some into mine.
