I've deided on investing in a new HU instead of trying to hook up my subs to the stock Stereo. My question is what brand.
I've only owned three after market HU all Alpine because well i loved them all but never gave others a chance so who do u think makes the best.

Thebig names are all good. Kenwood, Pioneer, Alpine. If you are used to alpine than stick with alpine. Personally i'll never buy Alpine but thats my opinion. Most people stay withwhat they are happy with.

I agree with Johny boy. Kenwood is the way to go, I have one and I love it. Kenwood is a pretty good manufacturer for headunits. But if u like the alpines stick with um. But I'll have to say kenwood all the way.

I've bought plenty of Panasonic products in the past and they always crap out early so I've sworn off buying any more Panasonic (that's just me though) I like Sony, I just bought the CDX-M850MP mp3 deck and it's pretty good so far.

Just my .02

I have had 4 different cars, and i put 4 different pioneers in. I love Pioneer and never had any problems with them. Panasonic has come along way too. But sony has a nice one our for under $1000 with a DVD player/flip out screen.

I just swapped my Aiwa out for a new Alpine CDA-9815 last night, and the level of detail you can get from the Alpine products can't be beat, but if ease of use is your concern, go with pioneer or sony.

I've had Kenwood, JVC, Pioneer, Clarion, and Panasonic, and they are all nice. The only one that actually broke on me was the Kenwood, it stopped playing CDs and wouldn't eject my CD. My favorite deck was the Pioneer with the Organic EL display, but the good ole JVC El Kamelion v1 has been a good deck for me too. I've had it in 3 different cars, and for 5 years, and it is currently in the Alero.
