Yup, the second number is the width. It should fit the alero (size-wise), depending on the tire profile you choose. I, myself have 15x7s on my car. As long as you choose the right tire profile it should be the same thing.

You find it useful because you have a 4-banger. Where is the performance section for the LA1!?

^ ture, but I know what he's saying. the coupe "looks" bigger (based on body lines, and the size of the doors), so it would need bigger wheels.

Why would the engine have anything to do with which wheels fit? You must not have read any of the thread. Noobs.

This may help you to judge if something will fit for future referrence. A tire tech at a local shop here explained what the numbers means. The first number is the number of bolt holes and the second number is the distance in milimeters from the center of any one bolt hole to the centre of the furthest bolt hole opposite that. It should be easy to tell which holes if you imagine connecting the holes to form a star. So with this said, the difference between the two bolt patterns mention in this thread is 0.7 mm.
Next time you put your wheels on take a look at the fitting, there's about at least 1mm to spare between the hole and the bolt. So yes it will fit as Ion already mentioned.
