Is this the 80 series that will fit the 2.4?

Dunno about "fit" the Alero.... but that's a single 3" inlet with dual 2.5" outlets.... if you're running 3" pipe from the engine back, go for that... otherwise use the one with the appropriate size.

I'm using a Flowmaster 80 with single 2.5" in, and dual 2.5" out... mounted transverse under the spare tire well. But mine's a cavalier with the N-body IRS... fits just fine... kinda tight tho.

^ You are thinking correctly...same one I have.

If you are replacing the tubing from the cat to the muffler do not go bigger than 2.5" because you will lose exhaust flow (scavange)!!

EDIT: I know i am in the wrong catergory as my car has the 3.4 but the exhaust should still be the same.
