OK I was looking at RSM racing at there Transmission mount. It's Polyurethane and Billet Aluminum.

It claims to prevent the motor from moving and putting more power to the wheels.

I'm having problems at the track spinning up the wheels and was wondering if this will help keep the torque down to the wheels instead of shifting back the motor

Go to Engine/Tranny Mount under the S/C block

There are good things and bad things about solid mounts. Yes you will get the power to the ground quicker the same as hard motor mounts, but you can also hurt your transmission/engine becuase you dont allow it to move and it just breaks at the mounts or other items. Keep in mind that everything RSM Racing makes is not intended for on road use those mounts are really ment for people that plan on racing there cars and dont give a wing ding about what happens to there motor.

That's overstating it a tad. Yes, there is quite a bit more vibration, but this isn't a completely solid mount. I've been running a RSM mount for almost 2 years (since they first became available), and I am pleased with how it performs.
That said, if you are looking for better traction, look to your tires first.

I have one on order right now...just waiting for RSM to get it to me (if that'll ever happen..lol) but I'll let you know my opinion once installed!

Tires are good, so much traction that I drag the e-braked rear wheels doing a burnout at the track.

Gonna try lauching at a bit lower rpm next time at the track

i found that if i feather the throttle, i dont spin the wheels as much. but i also noticed that my 60' times were about the same.

I usually launch at 2250 RPM's but I think I might have to try launching at 2000 the next time I'm out.

The thing I don't get it that I launched at 2500 when I ran my 15.41, but soon after that, spinning them up all the time

hmmm, could be tire wear.

but yea, i usually launch at about 2200. but when i release the brake, i dont punch it to the floor, just about 85%, and then increase steadily.

rsm unit looks nice but the price doesnt appeal
especially where its at no one sees it.
sc alero and I filled our stock mounts with 80A flowable urathane
paid less than $30 for enough to fill 2 or 3 mounts easily.
works really well and doesnt cost a fortune

I just got my RSM mount installed two days ago at High Rev and I am very impressed....it DOES cause a bit of vibration at a stop while in gear (i.e. stoplight) but while driving, there's hardly any. It definitly stiffened up the motor/tranny and there's hardly any movement. I found that I can light up my tires more easily hehehe. It's a good mod to get because the more HP mods you do to your car, the more the motor's gonna wanna move on ya when accelerating...it does feel like theres a lil bit more torque and there's a lil bit more torque steer. I personally enjoy this because it just makes it feel more "race-like" when you have to keep the car under control and what not...i dont like it when you can take an automatic car and race someone practically w/o any hands on the wheel lol...Overall I rate this mod a 7/10 because it will help you more as you gain more HP w/ other mods.

if theres more vibration while in gear and your stopped, you can be like those big block v8 guys who rev thier engine and the whole car rumbles, pretty nice

Like I said...this mod will benefit more as you add more HP w/ other mods. That is why I got it to start with..the downside to that is since I don't have a whole lot of mods, I didn't feel a huge difference right away, and I probably won't because I am used to the mount now. But if you got like every mod there is or a good chunk of them and did the tranny mount LAST, then you'd probably notice a bigger difference because w/ the more HP you have, the more the motor's gonna wanna rock back.

Either way it will benefit you...if your plans are to just get and intake and exhaust and be done, then I'd say don't get it..but if you plan on doing headers, IM's, TB, CAI, Exhaust, and more then I'd say definitly go for it!
