could you explain how you have the switch hooked up a little more please?
you take the blue wire it is a light blue wire out of the harness on the tranny. split the wire take one side of the split wire and run it to a micro switch. then the other side of the switch run back to the other clipped wire. it is easy and simple. once you flip the switch it takes the ground away from the silinoid giving you full line pressure. until the next key cylce. before you restart the car you need to flip the switch again if you want normal driving ability. or leave it off it you like the firm shift.

ok, i understand now.

and if i were to just cut the wire, it'd also shift firm the whole time... correct? (i'm not going to do this, just making sure i understand how it's working.)

and could i also splice the wire on the PCM instead of on the tranny plug under the car? (the same light blue one for the b&m mod)

hey i guess im gonna buy the B&M shift kit. is this the exact one i need to buy for the 3400?http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...70380&x=16&y=8

because ive heard like 3 people say 3 different types of transmissions: 4T45E and 4T40E.

Does shifting at full line pressure damage or cause major stress on any of the transmission or drivetrain components?? I know that it will save the clutches in the tranny, but surely, such violence on the car must be hard on something ??? I would like to firm my shifts also, but dont know about the tranny since ive got 72,000 miles now. please prove me wrong cause i want to do this to my car.

it's hard on the seals, but better for the clutches... since the seals go bad easier/quicker than anything else, i think you can decide which you want to sacrifice.

oh yeah another thing was.....i have a 2002, and i was wondering about the 2 wires you have to splice into, if the wire colors would be different from say a 99 or a 2000, to my 2002. (where you at oldsman)

Get a DHP it definatly makes your shifts firmer, by increasing tranny line pressure. Plus skip shift is fun.
