Ok, My gf just got a 95 cavalier. Ive been working on it the past week and we decided to put in a headunit. We went to circuit city and picked up a nice pioneer head unit for the car and stopped and picked up a wiring harness. I hooked everything up and the headunit just does not work. Doesnt get any power to it at all. I checked the fuse and it was fine. I plugged the stock headunit back into the harness and it ran fine. So I went to advanced auto and picked up a differnt harness then the one I got from walmart. The only differnence was their was 1 more prong in the harness so I figured why not. I hooked that up, making sure all the wires were correct and, nothing!!!!! Can anyone please help me with this problem because I am lost in space right now

There should be no reason that could have happened

The deck only needs 12 volts running to the 12volt acc and a ground to power up. Run a temporary wire straight from your battery 12 positive to the acc. Run a ground to the head unit. If it won't turn on then take it back.

Oh yea there could be a good reason, I bought a hu once brand spankin new, hooked it up and it burned up the output wires so i could hear my subs but not my interior subs.
Also had one were the power wire was bad so it just didnt work at all.
