he probably has a 4 cyl.
it's really hard to make a 4 cyl sound good. even the flowmaster wouldnt help much, but it may be a little better.

well he must have ordered the wrong part number from magnaflow, that's the only way his 3.4 will sound like a fart can.

i dont see how it could be the "wrong muffler" i didn't order the fart can special
i just now ordered a glass pack to replace my stock resonator, did some researching and hopefully this will get rid of alot of drone, its the longest resonator dynomax makes, 26" case, 31" total
http://store.summitracing.com/default.asp?...t=egnsearch.asp
link isn't bringing it to the page, but its the wlk 24204

are you serious? how can you tell? just because its shorter?
if you go to magnaflow.com, and follow the american muscle links, it lists this muffler, its not the sport compact style
edit....it also lists this muffler under the sport compact......it lists it under every link, i dont see how you can say its either

i know they use a different baffle system in each style.
maybe a few "overlap" and yea.... there you are.
that's why when i got my exhaust, i used a muffler designed for a camaro.

^---THAT'S the key, right there. To get the nice sound out of a Magnaflow on a 3400, it needs to be a camaro style muffler., such as this aluminized model: Camaro-style Magnaflow
Keep in mind though: Even though the flowmaster isn't a flow-through design like this one, it's much easier to route the piping AFTER the muffler, because they have an outlet on each end, like this one. This Ebay auction shows a flowmaster setup nicely, although the piping is fit for a Camaro and isn't compatable to our cars. B)
Hope this helps, Mike.

i didn't want dual exhaust. thats a typo on that muffler,a camaro muffler has a inlet and outlet on one side, outlet on the other. even if that was correct, (then it wouldn't be a camaro style) it would be to long.

like the second one, only it Y's inside the muffler and the perforations dont stick out into the muffler holes.. im so pissed right now, it was not listed as a "sport compact" muffler on there website. it was under american power or whatever. im hoping that this big old 31" glasspack will calm the sound down, it only cost 26 shipped on summit.com
