give it a tune up, see what happens, hopefully thats the problem. I would say check your plugs, plug wires, fuel filter, air filter, things like that......

well at 82,000 my plugs needed to be replaced. so i would change the plugs and check the boots.

Another thing could be coil packs might be going bad but that would be a last resort.

speeding up hills in 5th? what speeds? anywhere below about 40-45 and your clutch is goin bye-bye real fast, which could explain power loss

Do a compression check. If any cylinders are low, shoot some oil onto the cylinder & if pressure goes up... start spending some cash.

Any other symptoms?
Stuttering at idle, missing? ---Probably the plugs. Could also be fuel filter. Could also be that the injectors need to be cleaned. Fuel filter is cake to replace. Injector cleaning, try dumping 2 containers of fuel injector cleaner and run the dog snot out of it.
Running a little hotter than normal? ---Could be Cat getting clogged. Doubtful but possible.

Just some ideas, I hope they help get you motorin' again.

ok thanks for the help guys.

It kind of slow to speed up. when the rpms get up to 3000 then it moves like it used to. but under 3000 it is slow to rev up. also I could go up hills in 5th gear at about 70-75 buy the top it slows down to about 50. and it never did that before.

Replace your spark plugs. I replaced them at about 70000kms and instantly gained some power/fuel efficiency. I didn't use those crappy platinum ones either, they are good for longevity but not for power. I used the plain old champion copper ones.
