Hey guys,
ive been looking for a decent automatic shift knob for some time now. i ended up with a really crappy quality Pilot shift knob and its only been on for like 3 weeks and shes starting to fall apart (damn cheap Canadian Tire junk). thank god she was only $30.00.
anyways, ive been looking for different styles but cant seem to find the ones i like. i would like to have it look more like a manual shift knob. i think there was a knob that caught my eye that you pressed the whole thing down to shift. anyways, if you guys could hook me up with some links and pics, that would be great!
thanx in advance guys/gals!!

what you can do is just get a manual shift knob, then install it so it holds the button down. you'll be able to shift whenever, but that also means accidentally knocking it into reverse is possible. not sure what you're looking for, but it sounds unique. check momo's website, see if they have what you want. other than that, you may want to get something like mine. i used a pipe cutter to shorten the shifter, and installed my shift knob.

the problem with having the button pressed down is you cant take your keys outta the igintion. i looked on momo's site and didnt see anything of interest.
i like yours but to me, its a little too plain. i wanted to look for something a bit more.....unique i guess

can't take your keys out? says who?
and no, that is not a momo. it is one that i can get for pretty cheap, with a carbon fiber insert on it. i really like it. and i normally press the button down with my palm, it's so easy.

says who?
says my keys when the button was pressed out when i was in the process of installing the shifter i have now. i had to pull it up a bit then i was able to get my key. the spring i put inside of the button was too stiff and held the button down.
go ahead and give it a shot and let me know how it goes

i'll try that. maybe the fact that i can take the keys out with it running might factor in too. lol

He is right about the not being able to take your key out thing, I had the exact same problem, put the new one on a little too low so it was somewhat compressing the button and when I put the car back in park and went to pull key it didn't come. But as soon as I loosened up the shifter so the button could come up a little, the key came right out!
