need help selecting an approptiate amp...

So my amp was finally stolen. It was an Alpine MRP-F240 (40w x 4). My insurance got an MB Quart DSC480 (80w x 4) I guess I didn't realize how mismatched my amp was to my speakers until now.

I have Infinity Kappas:
4x6's: KAPPA 462.5cfp
Power Handling, RMS60 Watts
Power Handling, Peak180 Watts
Frequency Response (±3dB)75Hz - 21kHz
Sensitivity90dB
Impedance4 Ohms
Mounting Depth1-3/4"

6x9s: KAPPA 693.5i
Power Handling, RMS110 Watts
Power Handling, Peak330 Watts
Frequency Response (±3dB)35Hz - 22kHz
Sensitivity90dB
Impedance4 Ohms
Mounting Depth3-3/16"

So my question is should I get two smaller amps (60wx 2 and a 110w x 2) or should I just leave it? I don't like the MB Quart amp, it doesn't allow for the same adjustment as the Alpine did so the performance of the rear speakers is crap unless I want to add a sub, which I don't. These speakers were awesome with the Alpine but I'm concerned about the rears being underpowered?

I wouldnt worry so much about the rear speakers. Its the fronts that count.

You got a little more power than needed... Sounds like you need a crossover to tweak it better. Outside that sell off the MB and get another Alpine if thats what you want.

Don't worry about the rear speakers? Are you kidding? That's where most of the sound comes from, and all the bass. I don't want an ass load of high and mid tones blasting my face off. The fronts count a lot more if you have a sub over-filling the bass from the trunk. I don't have that, the rear speakers provide plenty of bass when they aren't cut-off by a crappy filter.
I would sell the MB but it's only worth half what an Alpine costs. I'm taking it back to the place the insurance got it from and maybe they'll swap it for one that will adjust more and then charge the insuranc company.
Thanks for the input Ryan

he meant they don't matter much for quality purposes. for a good sound stage and half decent lows you still need half good rears, cheap kicker ks60 seem plenty good in the rear too me.

lol, Ive been doing car audio for a long time now.

What Im telling you is to amp more for the fronts. Dont worry about the rear not getting the most they could. Otherwise you will overpower your fronts and have an unbalanced sound.

So if you need 50 WRMS for the fronts, get and amp for that purpose. Thenthe rears get only 50 WRMS, no biggie.

Oh, I get you. I don't think I stated myself clearly... there is almost NO bass coming from the rear speakers with this new amp on Full but all the bass is there with the LP filter on... does that make it clearer? The amp is filtering almost everything low unless i have it on LP in which case obviously it filters everything mid and high... like having it on Full isnt actually the full range. And putting on the HP filters all the bass like it should. Maybe the amp isn't working properly.
I don't want to transform my rear speakers into mini subwoofers, i want the highs AND the lows from them.
So only putting 50W to the rear speakers that are rms 110W won't cause any harm? I thought underpowering can be as bad as overpowering...
