I always set my parking brake even in an automatic as well. The parking pawl isn't really designed to take a ton of stress if you park on a hill.

is the e brake boot mandatory? I will either get a new one or take it out cause my current one is plain disgusting.. litterally disgusting. their is like dried nasty ass shit on it

i do almost every day, but i take it off when i leave the car. i just use it to go in parallel parking spots on the other side of the street lol
