theres an article on GM's website actually that says the ecotec can handle what.. 4000 (four thousand) horse power, with a little over half of the engine being stock-

someone post the picture of that ecotec thats got 6 - 10" exhaust buldging out of it

ok what is boost? Is "boost" just when you put aftermarket parts in? Or is boost like an item?

Ion could answer this better than I could. but it's from forced induction like superchargers and turbos

I am not entirely sure what boost is, but, it is created by a supercharger, or turbocharger and is measured in PSI (pounds per square inch). The greater the boost, the higher the octane ration fuel you need, and the more power your engine will have (If used properly ie tuning, correct fuel, etc...).

Its a slang term referring to forced-induction. The air going into your engine is compressed, which makes your displacement count for more.

i like my ecotech like people say they are more fuel efficient than the v6 so far my alero is more fun to drive and i can say that easily

i had a 98 neon and it had a sohc it was slow luckly i found it in an easy way to get a different car but it about cost me my life, 02 focus fun but it cant burn out as easy 97 cadi eldorado (cousins) fun but too much power to handle i about wreck it a couple of times

all were good cars but for me it is the ecotech tha i am having the most fun with now in my alero and it is the same as the would put into a cavalier or cobalt and there are a ton more parts for it than the 3400
