I have had my xdrilled rotors for two years and have seen no warpage, so while it may be a real issue for others i have not had to deal with it.

...oh really? I'm going to have to look into that. My only thing though, is having guys and gals on this site who have tried & tested parts like rotors and, well, in this case, the brake system all around... and having the bonus of hearing from people who stand by products saying they're "shuper dooper"... but, thanks, I'll look into that as well.

There are a few of us who have had the R1 rotors and no problems. I'm pretty hard on mine and I've had them for maybe 3-4 months now with no warping or cracking.

or you could check out summitracing... for rotors, from what I hear they are exellent quality and fairly inexpensive compared to other brands

You don't NEED 17s. Some 16s fit, just not the ones that come stock on the Alero.

I got the R1 drilled and slotted, and it doesnt seem much better than stock. I probably effed something up, but i know i installed the shit right. idkkkk.

But its cool to see someone on here modding their alero!!! aleroMOD has about 10 people modding their aleros, about 50 people who have aleros with nothing done to them, 100 people who have aleros and complain about them, and then about 2000 who sold their aleros and bought shitty imports

Anyways, keep up the good work man! but dont go by my experience with those R1 rotors, i probably effed it up some how, even though i installed the pads correctly......

Thanks! Like I said, right now I'm gathering as much info on the brakes & suspension as I can before I spend any money on parts. I want this basically to go very smooth. Do my research, ask around, and find exactly what parts I want to get (making sure they all groove with each other), collect all the parts, and once I've got them all, spend about a month getting all of that done. That's the plan...

No, it's just the general shape of the wheel and how they make it "fit" around the brakes. It just doesn't have enough clearance in the design.

Any one have any suggestions as to the bushings? I really don't want to be going to GM and picking up stock ones...

What bushings do you want?

Like I said before, my knowledge of bushings is pretty limited. From what I've read, I'm leaning towards polyurithane bushings, however, I'm strongly leaning on the members of this site to guide me in the right direction.

And yeah, I'm also liking the Performance rim as well. I like the aggrssive look of the racing rim, however, I think the performance rim will fit the Alero once it's finished much better.

ohhhhh... looked into those performance rims... sure, they're new for 2007... however, diving into it further, they're heavy... 20.3 lbs for the 18 x 8, AND, they're not for import only - only available in Japan right now, and at about 400 US a rim. SO... the search will continue... (this is another reason why I'll go with steelies for now... )

So like these for the control arms.
