Well I finally got the new system put in after the horrible 2 months I've been without any music. It's amazing how boring car drives are without music! Anyway onto the pics, I'll put pics of what the bastards stole and what I have now just for a comparison!

Old HU:

Old Amps:

Old Subs:

Loved the Pioneer HU, infact it was probably what I was most upset that they stole. I would certainly recommend it to anyone looking at them, the only thing I didn't like was that it wasn't MP3 but you can get an MP3 version.

The sony amp was good but overheated a lot and the Audiobahn amp was suprisingly unimpressive. The subs were very typical run of the mill, didn't blow anyone away but would do their job.

Now to the new stuff!!!

New HU:

New Amp and Cap:

New Subs:

Subs in Trunk:

The HU is the Kenwood Excelon KDC-X789 and I loooove it. It has everything, alll the bells and whistles. I actually had to read the manual for this one and I still haven't figured it all out, all I know is that it is great!

The Rockford amp is the T10001bd Power amp and the test sheet I got from Rockford said it tested at 1123w RMS @ 2ohm and 1531w at 1ohm. Outstanding power and the cap really helps, I have only gotten some dimming when I have it cranked and hit some deep, hard hits.

The subs are 12" RF P312D2 and they hit HARD. Just WOW. I jumped in the car and threw in The Game's cd and it was all I could handle just to sit in the car. The lows that these hit are so hard and so clean that I'm in awe. Simply Amazing.

Well just thought I would share and the best part is that Nationwide footed all $1814.32 of the bill. It's about time the money I put in their company comes through!

Looks nice, and I bet it sounds even better.

I took crolero's advice and smudged your plate for you. Here it is...

Thanks jiffy, I thought about that but I wanted to get the pics up. Stupid enthusiasm haha.

bigd - yea there is another fuse up in the engine, the amp is pulling so much power I thought it was just better to have 2 fuses.

That looks like 8 guage wire. If it is you seriously need to think about upgrading to at least 4.

Congrats on the new system. It is allways great when you are able cash in on the insurance company. Nice upgrade.

looks pretty good. one thing i would do is switch the mounts for the cap since it is mounted upside down. that way it wont have the tendency to slide out of brackets when you put the seat up.
