Ok, I had my rotors and brake pads replaced at 16k and now my car has 18k on it. Now from my right front wheel, I am getting a popping noise every once in a while. It only does it one time if I back up, then hit the brake or if I go forward after backing up and then I hit the brake. Its almost like the brake pad is loose in the bracket, but I checked it and they seem to be fine. I am so sick of brake noises and problems issed: Just wondering if any of you guys have ever had this noise?

did you replace the rears too? Maybe it is actually the rear rotors? Did you do the job yourself, or did you have a mechanic do it? If a mechanic did it, take it back to him and say it's making noises... and he'll check it out for you to make sure he didn't screw it up.

I took it to a GM dealer and the rotors were replaced under factory warranty, but I had to pay for the pads. My cars has back drum brakes which should be fine. But I guess your right, I should just take it back to the dealer and let them check it out. Its just that it don't do it ever time.
