The wheels I am in the process of getting have a 5 x 114.3 bolt pattern. But i cant find some rings that go with these wheels (Volution). Can I go without them or what should I do?

Contact the wheel manufacturers. That's what I did and they overnighted me a set for free.

No fair. I bought my wheels at Discount Tire, and took them there to get tires mounted and balanced. I took them back TWICE 'cause they felt out of balance, and the finally said "oh, you need some of these." They gave them to me for free, but I had to pay $15 for a new set this year, after an unfortunate incident with a couple of stock wheels.

Another lesson. Please listen. Just because you have 5x114.3 wheels does not mean that you need hubcentric rings. And just because you have 5x115 wheels doesnt mean that you don't need them. The BOLT pattern actually has very little to do with HUBcentric rings. Call the manufacturer and ask them what the centerbore of your new wheels are. Aleros are 70.3 mm. You need a ring that will make up the difference between the two. Don't just buy some rings off of lindsey, because you have no idea the size of them. If the manufacturer (or distributor) of your new wheels won't get 'em for you, call discount tire direct and tell them the centerbore of the new wheel and the stock centerbore. They'll hook ya up.

Hub centric rings are just little plastic rings you put on the inside of your bolt pattern of the wheel. Very cheapo, i think they're around $10 max. If you buy them and don't need them, big deal, they're cheap anyways. Ohh and i have them on my car. The make a nice tight fit.

/\ /\ you're not listening. That's not all a hubcentric ring is. Well, yes, that is all it is, but it's a little more complex than that because the rings come in all different sizes and thicknesses so that you can get a tight fit from whatever wheel you use (wheels have different centerbores). You MUST know the centerbore before you get them, or you run the risk of not having the correct ring, and consequently, you don't get a tight fit. Now, if you ordered the wheels and told the distributor what car you have, then they probably looked it up for you and sent them with the wheels. In that case, you're good to go.
