how do you know whats what

i have pod tweets in my 04. question there werent in with car so how do u know whats positive and whats negative they are both black wires factory so i have no idea how to tell which is which also does anyone know what colors for the front left and right are positive and negative?

If the part of the speaker that radiates sound (dome, diaphragm, cone) is visible, you can take a small AAA flashlight battery, and touch the wires across it. If the speaker moves outward, the (+) battery terminal is connected to the (+) speaker wire. If not, reverse the connection and retry.

It is better to use an old, slightly discharged battery.

both of yours are black?? thats incredibly odd. mine had one solid black, and one red w/ a black stripe. (in that case, red w/ black stripe is your + ) i'd double check, maybe the color was just twisted away from sight....

Hook it up and run a phase test via CD.

thats what i did last night thats how i found out the fron was out of phase unfortunately i dont know if its the tweets or fron speakers previous owner cut the wiring so i dont know whats what for pos and negative for any of them. idk why the tweeter wires arent labeled?

what is an phase test cd? like running a cd w/ test tones on it?

yea most cd lase lens cleaners have them it has test tones to test all connections not just phase but left right fron rear the whole nine pretty cool actuallly im glad i had it cuz only one of my speakers is out of phase i didnt really hear it but the cd showed it go grab one they are cheap and also clean at the same time! ive searched whats wrong with me i cant find color codes?

ive searched high and low gotta have color codes somewhere?
