Taking tail light lenses off

How do you do it? I know they don't come off nice like the headlights.

Indeed they do.

Pretty sure the lense doesn't need to stay intact, he just needs to know how to get them off as cleanly as possible. I need to get familiar with this as well since I'm going to make an attempt at some tails as well.

Nice and easy would be good. Like a dremel.

well the only way i could think would be even possible to get them off if to heat like the same process for the headlights. but if they are one piece (i haven't even looked to see if they are), you will just have to break them, which would defeat the purpose b/c then you would have a broken tail light. anderbra made custom ones somehow, but i think he made molds(?).

Well the plan is to make new lenses for them, so breaking them isn't an issue.

Estwing makes the best hammers, and a dremel would be the cleanest for taking the lenses off I'd say. Use a cutting wheel and dont let it bite too deep or it will melt its way through.
