well with rims = need tires ($)
Bodykit = body work+Paint - ($)
BUT.. with a stereo you can start out with a head unit, work to speakers, etc etc, without the budget of the first 2.
So system IMO

Save and invest it til spring, then decide. In the meantime, the only wintertime "mod" I would splurge on myself is tires.

Alpine IVA-W505/P1 head unit into two Alpine PDX-1.1000 amps pushing two Alpine SWX-1043D Subs. Two Alpine SPR-69Cs in the back deck and Alpine SPR-13S components up front run off an Alpine PDX-4.150 amp.

you get what you pay for. And the system I laid out was only about $5200. And that was not even including Alpine's top-end components. You can get cheaper Alpine stuff just so you know, and from experience I'll take Alpine over just about anything, but that's just mho. I know a lot of people on here prefer other things. I put a pair of the SPR-69Cs in the back and got lazy and just replaced the door speakers with a pair of SPS-406 4X6's, left the stock tweets and it sounds 100% better than stock just running off the deck. I got some crappy Memphis subs in the back that will be switched out for the Alpine SWR-1022D 10" woofers soon though. I'm debating on doing that or putting an amp in for the internal speakers first.

Maybe I'm the only one that thinks if you are just getting a job...how about make sure you are going to keep it before throwing money into a car that you will never see again. My idea is save all your money first once you are sure that you have job security then get the things you want..not at once but piece by piece. Good Luck!

i'm with lonnie. Financial security (and a definative rainy day fund) are definitely more important than a "blinging" car.
keep in mind 90% of modders on here... fall into 3 categories
1) broke ass college students, who probably shouldn't be modding
2) 20yrs with careers, that probably spend too much on a car that wont ever be worth anything
3) 25+-40 who have careers and families, and use the EXTRA money to build their car.
group 1: should pay off loans, or save for graduation
group 2: don't have steady jobs, or could make better investments for the future
group 3: can do whatever they want, they are safe.
Its all up to you... but from a financial standpoint, don't blow your money on bad investements (e.g something that'll never APPRECIATE in value)
