WTF E-Brake locked?

Problem here, e-brake was pulled and now it WILL NOT disengage. I cannot get the e-brake to go back into its non-applied position. Something special we need to do or something? My button on it seems like its not really working, doesn't depress into the handle well; when I pulled the e-brake I didn't need to press the button either.

Wtf should I do? My car's braked, and I can't get it un-braked.

Victory!

Had to wiggle the button a little more, then it went in smoothly and I got the brake back down. Now I know not to use the e-brake anymore until I check it out.
