I own an SLP and love it to death. Its clean, no big ass canisters. It sounds incredibly deep, not ricer buzzing. And best of all its 2.5, the biggest diameter you can get so if your planning on modding, this is the best one to use because it can handle more flow. I've never heard 1 negative comment about SLP and i don't think i ever will, everyones loves the look and the sound. SLP ALL THE WAY!!!

Don't act stupid sweet, you know what i meant. SLPs 2.5 inch is the biggest exhaust diameter kit on the market for our aleros, duh anyone could go and get custom work done. I'm talking about biggest diameter that a company puts out.

Its all about what you want, I have borla and like it, some don't, and some have SLP and like it and some think its too loud. The only people you should take advice from on this is people who have heard all the ones mentioned.
It also depends on how much you wanna spend, SLP around 400, borla around 600, custom I've heard as low as 250 and as high in price as 400.

I love my slp even though it got so loud after putting headers on and removing the cat and replacing it with a dynomax 4" muffler.

I run custom 2.5 and a 40 series flowmaster, sounds great, performs great, and aprox half the cost of borla and slp!

I've heard many setups on 3400 ga's and aleros.... and here are my observations.
SLP- Love it, own it. It is stainless steel, has lifetime warranty, and sounds IMO sliglty more muscular than the flowmaster. It doesn't backfire too much on my car, but I have heard some cars where it seemed to make a popping backfire sound on deceleration. I HATE that sound.
Borla- I saw it for the first time about a year and 1/2 ago, and many times since. It is not nearly as loud as the SLP, but it is a bit louder than stock. Sounds just right with headers. It is also stainless steel and has a lifetime warranty. I've heard it on many applications since then, and they all sound pretty good. Their brand recognition is the best, but you pay a lot extra for the name.
Flowmaster 80- Similar to the SLP sound-wise... perhaps a bit more wild sounding (the SLP has a bit of a more refined note IMO). I like it. It doesn't have a lifetime warranty, and if you get it custom installed, you need to buy tips (as with any fabbed installation). Normally, they don't use stainless steel for custom exhaust work, nor do they mandrel bend their pipes. For most people, you won't miss anything without mandrel bent pipes, but for people looking to maximize air flow, it can make a difference.
Dynomax- Sounds a little tinnier than the borla, but still produces a nice full sound. No warranty, and needs custom pipes like the flowmaster.
Magnaflow- loudest one I've heard that isn't a fartcan muffler.
