yeah DEF want the cat, not debating that haha. Does the resonator really make that big of a difference in sound? I mean obviously it makes some, but if the resonator is left in it's still gonna sound nice on the get up right?

Well you got a magna flow and a 2.5 piping, it is going to sound very nice. Knowing how excited you are, and how much you love your car, you're going to go insane!
I prefer the resonator off, but I agree, at the start keep it. Drive around for a while, and if you want it a little louder get it removed. The best thing about this hobby is that it's all about what you prefer.

alright, resonators got a leak in it, so they're just taking it out. found out they crush bend, which is why it's cheaper. changed my mind last minute... it's gonna be 2.25" cause I'm afraid I'll lose flow. and I'm getting a flowmaster muffler instead as well. they tried to talk me out of upgrading the pipe all together, but I told them I wanted it all done. well see how it goes!

There is a post somewhere, and im 99% sure a 2.5" will be better for than the 2.25" the 3" is what makes you lose flow, which is what I was about to get then I found out. Ill look and find that link for you.
Regardless, I cant wait to see how it turns out!

yeah I sawthat when I was searching yesterday, but he said I'm gaining huge flow anyways by removing the leaky resonator and throwing a flowmaster in... and since I'm not really planning to boost it anytime soon, I went with the 2.25... cause by the time I boost it it'll probably be time to change that pipe anyways haha

indeed. but how many more people is that carrying?
and just because there are more polluting devices, doesn't mean an individual should ignore their own personal responsibilites.
WNY has 2 of the worst polluting coal factories in the nation, so.. under your logic, we can just all remove our exhausts cuz it doesn't matter?

one person here or there without a cat isn't really going to hurt, as most cars currently have a cat anyway. the only thing that would greatly reduce pollution from cars would be if everybody (or a good majority) would switched to alternate energy sources...which isn't going to be anytime soon. Anywho, that's discussion for an entirely different thread. this is about performance of her car.

Very nice to hear your doing your first performance mod. Like kwhauck said....it gets VERY addicting. You will definitely notice some more power....after you get the CAI it will sound even better. Then the headers......ahhhh i love my headers. 3400 with cai, headers and exhaust sounds NICE.

yay she's done! and it sounds awesome. It was the first time I've ridden with my music down cause listening to her growl was much more entertaining I was sitting in the lobby of the shop, and I heard a car start up real nice and was like "that is not my car. that is a truck for sure" haha, it was mine . and this guy who had his truck in there asked the guy "was that an oldsmobile sounding like that?" it was a good feeling. I'll get a video of it soon foe you guys
