stock air box piping

i have my front bumper off at the moment and i was wondering if i should take my stock air box piping out. i have a WAI. will taking this off affect it? i don't think it does but it makes alot more room in there.(in case i want to put in a big air horn or something) a also can't get a good look at where it's connected and was wondering how to take it off. just wanted some opinions.

f**k does that thing reduce airflow. and i thought the piping in the engine bay was ristrictive, and that thing is huge GM was really cutting the air flow down. took it out, thanks
