Never had an issue with rear window defogger/ antenna BECAUSE of my windows being tinted. Mine came tinted when I got my car so I have no idea what type of film it is of whatever but I think it's around 20% and I've only been hassaled about it once.

WTF for my back window is one piece and i have NEVER had a problem with it.. imho people who do the strips aren't sure of themself enough to tint a window properly, all my windows were done before i got mine too but mine only allow 17% light through which in Iowa is 100% ILLEGAL, not to be a rooster but mine was professionally done and i'd suggest have a pro do the back window anyways cause its not easy

If your gonna do it yourself search on eBay for 'Laser Cut' and '3M' for the best quality of product. There is also an extra-thick 'security' film that makes windows virtually break-in proof - what I used.

most tints are "break-in-proof" just some are a little thicker then others
