300lbs compressed or just over. I busted a dam nut changing a couple on mine! They are a stout spring dude!

PAC's spring rate calculator says for my application -
Pressure at installed height (1.76") - 142.53#
Open pressure (intake .570" lift) - 321.13#
Open pressure (exhaust .555" lift) - 315.43#
Yeah, they're stiff.
Contemplating having the machine shop install time-serts as insurance against the rocker arms pulling out of the heads. |

Sounds like good insurance. Mine were stock and saw 7200rpm shifts quite often for 5 years and they held just fine too. Milzy built me one hell of a motor man.

So... it's the 12th.... any pictures of the transformation yet? Is it done or still working??? Inquiring minds wanna know!!! 
If it's done hopefully you can make it to Vaughn mills on the 27th... I'd like to see more of Scott's work!!

The build got pushed back to start on the 15th . Scott has been busy for the last couple days parting out a Grand Am and he just finished yesterday. He's working on getting the 3500 out of his Lumina at the moment. Once he's done, I'll be taking my car to him to get this show on the road. 
I'm excited, but if he's busy I have no problems waiting because I know this will be worth the wait!
As for the Vaughn mills meet, I probably won't be making it because my girlfriend and I are hosting a party on the 26th and I have no idea how much clean up I'll be waking up to do lol. I'll do my best to make it to the next meet though for sure. I'll be updating this thread with pics and videos as this build progresses.

Ya this week has not been a very productive one with the girlfriend in the hospital for a night and all of the projects that I have on the go. Look for some progress pics this week provided that I get some time to post them!

Well Scott tore the engine down and is just prepping the motor for the cam. Not sure how much progress has been made though. He's been super busy lately. Hopefully he'll chime in with some pics! Lol

yes I have been very busy lately... but now on to the good stuff!
just a few teaser pics to hold every one over!
heads will be off to the machine shop to get milled and the valve job done this week, then I can get them assembled. going to get some more work done on the lim this week and hopefully get the cam in!

Officially 3500 Powered!
Scott finished up the build on Wednesday and I drove her home that night. Loving the lope! Scott took some pics and vids today so hopefully he gets em up tonight!

finaly got a chance to get online! lol
still waiting on the vids to up load right now so here are some pics that I got along the way when I could! 
this engine is the one that was first in my 3500Alero untill it was wrote off, then it found a home in my lumina where it ran a 15.02@93mph on a stock 3.1mpfi tune, no headers, 3spd auto with a sh1tty 2.8x:1 fdr, in a 33-3400# car. I have a feeling that this set up will run some decent times in 2014 once we have it dialed in!
