That Weapon R filter looks good, but I really think they need to throw in a Honda Type R badge to go with it and complete the look.

Yeah IDK if I'd trust them.

The K&N's have a oiled cotton to catch those very small dirt particals. The world is a very dirty place

K&N is a reputable filter company.

Weapon R is pretty much for the cosmetic Pep Boys rice crowd that just wants a something that looks neat under the hood. Like Ken said, I don't know I'd trust the mechanical filtration.

Weapon R makes decent stuff, get it if you want. I'd personally just want a regular filter. But then again, no one ever sees mine (CAI), I have a Tenzo Racing Sports one.

k&n filters are good, but i went with an aem dryflow filter cause it doesn't need any oil like the k&n does

Ii would agree, K&N is good, I have had them for a while. Now I dont have no CAI, or WAI just the filter because they didnt make anything for the Alero when I started modding. The weapon Rs from what i see are foam, and like others said more for asthetics. They are also gauged for imports.
Its like putting a neuspeed sticker on your alero.

but thats just my opinion, also think they may be a lil pricey if i recall.
But its all on u bro.

its seems to me like its built like one of those foam ones like you see on high hosepower turbo engines. doesn't seem to bad, but i'd go with an AEM dryflow. better company and doesn't need oil like K&N. i wouldn't trust using an oiled filter on my car, i know on some vehicles it sucks in some oil and messes up the sensors

I had a weapon r once on a 2.2. It was okay. I preferred my cheap put together CAI.

^ laugh then if you know eveything. for a FACT on ford 5.4 engines using an oiled filter will ruin the MAF sensor every time. I can only bet that it is like than on some other vehicles too.

maybe their PCV connection is post-MAF then, i don't have a MAF to worry about getting it dirty

guess you know everything, all i said was engine oil is sucked through the intake and burned off, stock, so why would a filter with a tiny amount of oil on it do anything?

I agree with C2 on the little oil amount.

People hear oiled filter and start ranting about problems. I am not sure if even a full ounce of oil is used to cover the filter. Its a spray oil only meant to get the tiny stuff that most can't see with the naked eye.

Yes, I have. Its foam and it falls apart easier than a cotton filter such as K&N
