Yes just metallic flake no texture. but I have some bad news and some ever worse news.

Bad news - its gonna rain of and on throughout the week.... so this will take a while since I don't want to leave my weather stripping off in the weather.

The even worse news - I chipped the paint...... at the top of passenger rear and ill have to redo it.

On the other hand one side is installed for the time being and the other side is unpainted/stock

On another side note this clear coat appeared rather dull after it cured/dried so I might redo this with another clear coat...... don't know yet....... suggestions?

the write up should be "remove, bondo, sand, prime, paint by the looks of it but really good job from the one pic you posted im gonna have to look into it hopefully before winter. what paint did you use? I like that texture it has ( or metal flakeish I guess )

you may not, but I do. the rust on mine had chewed the black part off and there is a layer difference so to make it even bondo will have to be used

yeah i havent had any experience with bondo. so i would have a hard time using it for my first time on something i want to look good.

im wondering, if i should sand the primer, and the base. i also thought about laying a base coat after primer like flat black and then go over with the metallic black. possibly sand each coat.....i dunno i kinda wish it would stop raining so i could just work on it
