http://www.toyoland.com/sludge.html

That's just the first of MANY pages i've seen.. There's more sites for that issue than the 3400 lower intake gasket. Oh, and no GM engines are on the list of engine failures due to sludge accumulation.

^^ Yes but they say it's only a small group of cars... Not all of them have that problem... And out of those that had the problem, how many changed their oil on a regular basis?

Either way, I'd rather have to change a lower intake gasket (my 3400 still has it's original since '99 by the way). Whether or not it's 1%, Toyota admits to the issue covering 97-02 model years.

At least they admitted to it instead of "not commenting" on the issue. lol

How could GM not release the OSV when they pump out shit like the HHR and whatever that other ugly ass thing is... All of which is just basically just a Cavalier with a different body.

yes, but you have to think about what they were competing against during that time. at that time, the camry/accord/glant/chrysler products couldnt compete with with the OSV. a little steep in price, yes, but compared to what was out at the time, it would have beat them down...

Ok I paid $2000 Canadian for my car. This guy owed my buddy money, so he sold the car out from under him. His loss is my gain.

Took about $2000 in work in parts to make it what it is today.
