Wow, a 5 spd Alero with 240 hp would've been one FUN car.. They're already a good time but that's a whole lotta power. If only..

Eh, it's not THAT much power. It'd be decent from the factory though.

wow nice news, seems OLDSMOBILE had great potential but were to ignorant to put all that concept ideas off the drawing board and on the market. With all those concepts OLDS would have been a bit a better "IF"

Just to clarify... GM not Olds! They ran em into the ground for years and finaly got their wish by killing Olds. It just makes ya want to GM.

^^ Well it makes you wonder which brand they are going to kill off next. I would say Buick, but with the following they have in China, but they could stop making Buicks in the US. After all, Buick has a pretty good history, just like Oldsmobile did

My point is that Olds couldnt go ahead with these projects without GM's consent. Even when they go something into production GM would take it and give it to Pontiac or another brand.

well here is the thing..............GM gave the OK to produce the OSV in November of 2000. The other projects were going to be aimed for 2001 coming out in 2002 which would have been the convert and possible an OSV convert . but in December of 2000 GM annouced the elimination of Olds so the OSV had no chance of being build. But i would have done it anyways even with Olds going under, but no balls in the Olds board and president to say screw you GM. What would have GM done............eliminate Olds???????

yeah but then i guess it would hurt their retirement plans or something. I know this may sound harsh but sometimes I think a japaneese or asian guy was hired or had the job to design and elaborate OLDZ but was paid under the table by a foreign car manufacturer to lack potential and not do such a good job. I dont know just got out of work and tired Does anyone know the guy that held the position to design the cars, oh i dont know and dont care oh well

Instead of the OSV, we get the RWD Alero 2JZTT. Eat your heart out supra owners.
