Matt's newest insane project (brake porn inside)

Custom AP Racing Competition brakes from Hardbar USA.

As you can see the caliper is seriously close to hitting the wheel spokes, so a small 3mm spacer is in order. So no road test (yet).

only 3mm wheel spacer... I had to order 1 inch spacer on mine...

tell me your feelings once the road test will be done, because I think that our master cylinders are not done to push enough fluid to fill fast enough these big brakes kit..

I have a set of corvette z06 2008 on mine... 6 pots fronts and 4 pots rears

I don't remember if the corvette had 3/16 or 1/4 brake lines...

If you don't mind how much did these cost ??

I specifically went this way because the caliper is very compact and allows me to still run 17" wheels. The calipers are forged aluminum, with machined stainless steel pistons and weigh just under 5 pounds each! I'm losing about 8 pounds of weight on each corner!
These calipers are sized to work well with a stock C5 master cylinder, which is basically what we have. I have had base C6 brakes on my car for the past 2 years, and they work fine. The C6Z06 calipers do have a much higher fluid requirement.
I'd rather not make the cost public knowledge.

Yeah I saw that 5lbs, I'm super jealous of that extremely light weight, that is a good advantage, even the rotors must be a lot lighter than mine... I suspect that mine's are filled with concrete lol...I think I'll install an adjustable prop valve

I don't know if a c6z06 master would bolt to the alero stock brake booster ??

C6Z06 rotors usually come in around 25.6 lbs.
Base C6 rotors are about 21.5 lbs.
The AP rotors with the aluminum bell are only 17.6 lbs.
I have no idea what C6Z06 calipers weigh.
I give a bit back with the brake pads. The friction puck is 20mm thick!
