Sub box sealant

What is the best thing to use to seal a subwoofer box?? Is rubber the best thing to use or would silicone work better?? Let me know what yall think. It is a bandpass box with a plexiglass top and 3 10" audiobahn subs. Don't know if that matters but just to let you know what I am dealing with. I think it is going to hit pretty hard so I need good sealant.

Subfloor adhesive works great between the joints of the MDF and silicone works fine on the interior. Just put enough screws in it and predrill. The heads of the screws tend to snap off without predrilling into MDF. As fars as the plexi goes your on your own.

Well When I make boxes, I use liguid nails on the joints on the inside of the box and when I did my lexan box I used a rubber seal for windows and then counter sunk the holes and srewed it down on top of the rubber seal. I have heard that silicone is no good on speaker boxes it does not bound well to wood.

i use mdf then adhesive nails then put screws in liek every inch, then silicone. thats how it's done

liquid nails and screws every 2 inches is sufficient
