I am thinking that a spray tint film would be better. Using a film on something so curved like tails or headlights, I can only see frustration, but I have never tried.

Gotta use a heatgun to form it to the tail light before you peel the backing off.

It's hard! But you've already got the film... either use it to tint your windows or give it a shot.

what you want is something like this...

http://www.darksydetint.com/smokedlights.html

it's made with 17mil tinted vinyl, the extreme thickness of the vinyl makes it relatively easy to conform to a convex curve. and lucky for aleros, the curve is relatively minor. it won't fade, it looks great, and you can always revert back to stock if need be.

http://carcustomz.com/osc/1534-1634-...ets-p-496.html

its not like window tint at all... it uber thick and pliable... we print on the stuff at work. we print the dacls that are on the side of football helmets and stuff... it has to conform to the round shape and still be really tough...
