I am going to attempt to replace the heater core in my 2001 V6.
I have the Chilton (or Haynes.. I dont remember) and it explains how to replace the heater core. I figured it would be a good idea to ask on here first, if anybody has done this before and have any tips?
Question. I noticed some posts I came across said removing the dash, steering wheel, seats, etc. That doesn't seem right. The manual shows everything should be done just by going through the glove box and taking it out through there. I also read online that aleros after 2002 had the dash insides redesigned and it is a lot more involved on those to access the heater core. Can any body else chime in about this?
Also, how do you bleed the coolant bleed screw. You twist the lower part of it or the top?
Thanks a lot guys!

Well cody,
the manual is just a guide and the heater core is in the center(ish) of the dash..there's about (shit) load of bolts that hold the cover and it would help you to remove the glove box and the lower dash cover ..drive side and passanger side...If you want to make it a bit easyer to remove the passanger seat to lay down would hurt if you a big guy like i am...
Just take you time and make sure you take pics if this is your first time. it easy to use them as a reference to put things back...
good luck...
the bleeder( NEEDS A BAND AID?) LOL use a wench to hold the lower nut and use a 7mm to open the wep hole bolt...
