Air Filter Fell Off
I'm a dumbass. I must not have tightens the band on my K&N air filter enough the last time I charged it and when I went to recharge it today, some thousands of miles later, I found it just sitting in the wheel well. Lovely.
Anyhow, have not had any issues so obviously I haven't sucked up a bird or fish or something terribly bad. Can I expect that no news is good news? Or should I be prepared for something?

disconnect the pipe at the throttle body and see how dirty it is
some shit might've been sucked into the intake manifold and is just sitting in there, and some stuff might have just gone through the engine
either way it's fine now so nothing bad happened

Ion, if I happen to find that the throttle body is filthy do you have a cleaner that you would recommend to clean it up? Or some other step? Seafoam perhaps?
Birds and fish are highly unlikely to be sucked up into the exhaust but you never know. There are large puddles out there : P

STP throttle body cleaner
if stuff did get sucked in it's either sitting in your intake manifold or sucked through the engine already

if you're driving through a puddle deep enough to have fish, you took a wrong turn somewhere...

Speaking of sucking things into the engine. If I were to use seafoam spray or the throttle body cleaner-could I take the boot completely off the TB and spray the cleaners directly in? In my garage the worst that would be sucked in would be some dust. How dangerous would that be or is it an acceptable practice? Trying to work the seafoam in through the pcv hole on top is a pain in the ass.

Dangerous for the engine at all?
Just beware of nearby birds and bats then. Cool.

I got the filter all cleaned up and reattached. I liked it better when it was off. Feels like response is lessened a little bit and a little more bogged down...Too much oil maybe?

I think...I think I understand what you are saying Vic? Maybe.
Anyhow. Responsiveness definitely lost. Sucks. I think I'm going to switch to a WAI-easier to make sure it doesn't fall off.
